I want to start by saying I’m a perfectionist. If you want something done right, you just come to me. I am also really into art and thinking outside the box, so that, combined with borderline OCD perfectionist, makes really cool creative gifts

Is there any memory you have that you attribute to the main characteristics of yourself? Like being scared of milk because your dad never came back after picking some up?

Well, mine is a day in kindergarten, we were tasked to color in the lines. Without really caring about it, I did what any kid would: I minded my business. After getting done with coloring, I gave my paper to my teacher, she praised it, and whatnot. That is when another kid came along and presented his paper. The teacher looked at it once, made a face, and then went off (not really) saying

“Look at Lark’s drawing, she barely went outside the lines.”

“Lark is such a fast learner.”

“I can see how Lark really tried.”

“You should be more like Lark.”

So on and so forth. Even though this is such a small, insignificant memory, it made me want more. Granted, for selfish reasons like getting praised by others, but isn’t that what a perfectionist is, wanting to be better just for that feeling?

Let me make this clear: this isn’t a “I make ANY gift and you give it to your person” type of deal. The truth is, I want you to tell me what your person’s like, what their traits are, what they love, and then make something to their taste. Something specialized and even customized to their personality.

Now wouldn’t that be a one-of-a-kind gift, and best part of it all, you take all the credit! Just look at all the art around!
